If you have ever had surgery, chances are exercise has been part of your recovery process. Depending on the type of surgery, exercise is typically used to help you return to pre-operative activities. If done properly, exercise will definitely improve your balance and make you more flexible. Exercise will strengthen the muscles that help stabilize your joints while keeping your cardiovascular and other bodily systems working properly.
How quickly you start exercise after major surgery will vary with the type of surgery you had. Simple outpatient surgery may only require a week or two whereas major surgery will likely sideline you for six to twelve weeks. Even if you begin to feel better prior to full recovery, you should not attempt any exercises without first consulting a physician.

Few people grasp the huge effect that weight has on diabetes. Even instances of gestational diabetes are much greater in patients that are overweight than in those that are not. Type 2, or adult onset diabetes is usually seen in overweight people than those that are within their ‘ideal’ weight ranges. In fact, almost 90% of those with Type 2 diabetes are overweight. If you are suffering from Type 2 diabetes, your best approach is to start getting your weight under control.

One thing I learned about exercising is the THRESHOLD. You have to reach it and hit it. Once you hit it, you will genuinely love exercising.
I could not hit the threshold when I was casually jogging in the park or hiking. But I hit it in the gym.. and I am sharing with you on what I learn in one year:
Why joining a gym is good if you are not a born exercise freak:
1. You pay high membership fee- paying will at least make up get up from the sofa and TV and push you to go.

The Power of Habit
One of the most influential forces to shape many of our actions in life is the power of habit . Habit is often overlooked (perhaps because of its simplicity) when we consider why we do or don’t do certain things. If a person were to ask: “Why do I come home from work and sit in front of the TV instead of going for a walk?” or “Why do I go to the refrigerator every time I’m bored?” it seems too easy to answer “Because I’m used to doing it” . But the reality is you do it because it has become a HABIT.

Low carb diets are currently the most popularity type of diet regimen being used by many fitness conscious people. The low carb philosophy is taking the world by storm as millions of people are now trying out this new diet in the hopes of losing excess weight and fat.
Proponents of the low carb diet philosophy are also saying that aside from losing weight, it also has other inherent benefits. They said that it lowers cholesterol, helps control diabetes or completely stop it from developing in certain individuals. These are claims that seem to have been supported by actual facts as followers of a low carb diet plan have reported the same thing.
