If you were to look at the latest fundraising numbers for the second quarter of 2007, you would see that military personnel donated to the Ron Paul campaign in the largest number.

Ron Paul is a relatively unknown presidential candidate for the 2008 presidential election but has gained online notoriety for his strictly anti-war stance. As the only Republican presidential candidate that has voted against the Iraq war and every appropriations bill, this candidate stands out.

The military is known to generally support Republicans, Ron Paul turns out to be the only Republican that will bring the military home. As a strict constitutionalist, Ron Paul believes that military is meant to protect the safety of America, not to police the world. He would close down our bases overseas and use these troops to secure our border with Mexico.

A large portion of our federal budget is going to military spending and unless we make a pledge to cut down on it, America’s economy make turn into a financial disaster.

Presidential polls show that Ron Paul is lagging behind all of the other candidates but he is not lagging behind in the money race. In fact, Ron Paul has more money in the bank than one-time front runner John McCain. Fundraising is not an isolated instance of success for Ron Paul. He has done surprisingly well in Georgia and California straw polls that have included him. His YouTube channel has more views than every other Republican presidential candidate. He is the most demanded performer on Eventful.com.

Aside from success online, he has the most meetup groups and volunteers of every other campaign. The military likely knows something the rest of America soon has yet to find out.
